Plastic dinosaur bones, snippets of conversations on a train - Hannah has always loved piecing things together. These last years, her focus has shifted to storytelling through film.
She most enjoys writing and directing stories of human hopes and dreams and their interactions with the people around them. Her films live through color and carefully chosen composition, but are always rooted in very real and relatable emotions.
Her first short film “Pages of life“ connected the fates of two refugees in WWII and today in rural Switzerland. It was awarded the “outstanding“ grade at Schweizer Jugend Forscht 2019, as well as a silver medal at the Genius Olympiad New York 2019.
She then worked as a production intern at Shining Film AG in Zurich and was nominated at the ADC (Art Director’s Club) Switzerland for the Young Creatives Award.
She is currently freelancing on several short films and commissioned films. Her latest 30-minute narrative film “Sandschlösser”, co-produced by Shining Film AG and blue+, premiered on the VoD platform blue+ and was screened at the Schweizer Jugendfilmtage in March 2023.
She works in English, German and French.
Plastikdinosaurierknochen, Gesprächsfetzen im Zug - Hannah hat schon immer gerne Dinge zusammengesetzt. In den letzten Jahren hat sich ihr Fokus auf das szenische Aneinanderreihen von Geschichten durch Film verlagert.
Am liebsten schreibt und inszeniert sie Charaktere mit Hoffnungen und Träumen und deren Zusammenspiel mit den Menschen um sie herum. Ihre Filme leben durch sorgfältig gewählte Farben und Kompositionen, sind aber immer in sehr realen und nachvollziehbaren Gefühlen verwurzelt.
Ihr erster Kurzfilm “Seiten des Lebens" verbindet die Schicksale von zwei Flüchtlingen im Zweiten Weltkrieg und heute in der ländlichen Schweiz. Er wurde bei Schweizer Jugend Forscht 2019 mit dem Prädikat "hervorragend" ausgezeichnet, sowie mit einer Silbermedaille an der Genius Olympiad New York 2019.
Danach absolvierte sie ein Produktionspraktikum bei der Shining Film AG in Zürich und wurde beim ADC (Art Director's Club) Schweiz für den Young Creatives Award nominiert.
Derzeit arbeitet sie freischaffend an mehreren Kurz- und Auftragsfilmen. Ihr neuster 30-minütiger narrativer Film "Sandschlösser", koproduziert von Shining Film AG und blue+, wurde auf der VoD-Plattform blue+ veröffentlicht und an den Schweizer Jugendfilmtagen 2023 gezeigt.
Sie arbeitet auf Englisch, Deutsch und Französisch.
Os de dinosaures en plastique ou bribes de conversations dans un train – Hannah a toujours aimé assembler les choses. Et c'est tout naturellement qu'elle s'est orientée vers le storytelling par le biais du cinéma.
Elle aime avant tout écrire et mettre en scène des histoires sur des espoirs et des rêves et leurs interactions avec les personnes qui les entourent. Ses films prennent vie grâce à la couleur et à une composition soignée, mais ils sont toujours enracinés dans des émotions très authentiques.
Son premier court-métrage, Pages de vie, a fait le lien entre les destins de deux réfugiés dans la Suisse rurale – pendant la Seconde Guerre mondiale et aujourd'hui. Il a obtenu la note "exceptionnel" au concours Science et Jeunesse en 2019, ainsi qu'une médaille d'argent aux Genius Olympiad New York en 2019.
Elle a ensuite été stagiaire en production chez Shining Film AG à Zurich et a été nominée à l'ADC (Art Director's Club) Suisse pour le prix des jeunes créatifs.
Elle travaille actuellement en tant que freelance à plusieurs courts métrages et films de commande. Son dernier court-métrage de fiction de 30 minutes, Sandschlösser (Châteaux de sable), coproduit par Shining Film AG et blue+, a été diffusé sur la plateforme VoD blue+ et montré aux Festival Ciné Jeunesse Suisse.
Elle travaille en anglais, allemand et français.
